Aquatic Therapy I do not carry an underwater treadmill, or have a pool in my little van. However, a small pool/bath tube can work wonders for little critters. And I know some of you have discussed with me using their own pool. Please do not attempt aquatic therapy before talking to me, there are security measures (sanitation and security) we need to discuss.

Low level laser therapy (LLLT)

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is becoming a popular therapy. We need to remember that the technology itself isn’t instant success but how it is applied. A solid canine rehabilitation training helps apply the laser at the right place(s), for the right reasons, delivered at the right amount and in a safe manner.

LLLT therapy does:

-Provide analgesia (decrease pain)

-Beneficial for nerves and spinal cord

-Decrease swelling

-Improves wound healing

I use it in muscle pain (trigger point, muscle spasms), osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ligament/tendon injuries, IVDD (slipped disk), post-op orthopedic and neurological surgeries, peripheral nerve deficits (cauda equina, others)

    Mobilization

Mobility Aids: orthotics/prosthetics: used if your pet needs some form of support, or if your pet has lost part of limb.
I carry with me several aids like adjustable carts and slings. I can also help you measure and fit a custom cart. The decision to choose a mobility aid is guided by the individual pet need(s). I can help your pet get used to them too. There is no one size fits all. You can read one of my post about carts on the practice blog:
