Pet Orthotics and Prosthetics
Veterinary orthotics and prosthetics (V-OP) can play a crucial role in your pet’s rehabilitative treatment plan. Orthoses include any device that’s attached to an existing body part to support, align, immobilize, or improve function. Prostheses are used to compensate for a missing or partially amputated limb. Generally speaking, the biomechanical design of animals is quite different than humans, so it’s important that your pet be thoroughly examined by a licensed veterinarian prior to prescribing an orthosis or prosthesis.
PAWS on the GO is pleased to have OrthoPets join us in our philosophy of using non-invasive techniques to improve the lives of our patients. Please contact us to schedule an initial assessment to determine if your pet is an appropriate candidate for a specific device.
